Don STICKEL

Don is a Senior Scientist. He joined CAS in August 1982 as Search Coordinator for the original CAS Search Service. He conducts searches dealing with chemistry and the life sciences, including chemical structure searches and intellectual property related questions.

Don has been doing searches for more that 25 years. He has a BS degree in Biology and an MS degree in Library and Information Science, both from Western Michigan University. From 1977-1982 he worked as Assistant Life Sciences Librarian at Purdue University. One of his primary responsibilities at Purdue was doing literature searches for the School of Agriculture and the Department of Biology.

Don is a member of the Patent Information Users Group, Inc. (PIUG) and a member of the American Chemical Society - Chemical Information Division.
