DAVID S. SAARI

David joined the Science IP division as a Senior Scientist in June 2005. He has been involved in the acquisition, distribution, organization, and use of scientific and patent information for more than 30 years. Prior to joining CAS, he worked for American Cyanamid Company, American Home Products (Wyeth), BASF, Miles Laboratories (Bayer), Schering-Plough, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

David has a Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of California, Davis. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as an Agent, Reg. No. 29,239. He has held academic appointments at the University of California at Davis and the University of Notre Dame.

David is a member of the American Chemical Society Divisions of Chemical Information (CINF) and Chemistry and the Law (CHAL), the ACS Committee on Patents and Related Matters, and the Patent Information Users Group (PIUG).
