NATALIA NEKRASOVA

Natalia joined CAS in January 2001 as a Technical Information Specialist in the CAS Search Service. Natalia fulfills requests for scientific and patent information in the chemistry and life sciences areas. Natalia is also called upon to perform chemical structure and sequence searches, as well as searches for property data, chemical suppliers, and regulatory compliance.

Natalia received a Master of Science degree in biology from Leningrad State University. After graduation she worked for ten years in environmental biology as a nature protection agent and as a researcher. She has been involved in environmental studies, generation of reports and scientific publications, staff training, presentations at scientific meetings, and literature searches. She went on to earn a Master of Library and Information Science degree in 2000 from Kent State University. For two years she was employed as a Library Assistant at Byrd Polar Research Center's Library at OSU. At OSU her responsibilities included online information retrieval, collection maintenance, current awareness profiling and providing general patron assistance.
